Experiences

Choose how you want to experience the river — guided rafting, guided fishing, or DIY rentals & shuttles.

Rafting & Kayaking

This is where Orange Torpedo started. Paddle a raft with your crew, sit back in an oar boat while a guide rows, or take the controls of your own inflatable kayak, the orange torpedo we are named for. Our guides read the water, set the lines and stay right there with you the whole way.

Pick a half day on the Rogue, a full day of Class III, or a multi-day trip on the Rogue, Salmon, Owyhee or Hells Canyon with a beach camp or a lodge at the end of each day. First-timers and families are welcome, and there is always a raft to hop into if the kayak feels like too much.

Guided Fishing

Fish the Rogue with the crew that has guided it since 1930. Briggs Rogue River Trips puts you in a traditional drift boat with a guide on the oars who knows where the salmon and steelhead hold, from a full day out of Merlin to four days lodge to lodge through the Wild and Scenic canyon.

In Hells Canyon, Orange Torpedo runs a fishing trip on some of the best smallmouth bass water in the country, with a shot at a White Sturgeon along the way. Beginners and seasoned anglers both fit right in, and the gear is covered.

Raft & Gear Rentals

Running your own trip? Whitewater Cowboys has you covered from our shop in Riggins, Idaho. Our AIRE rafts show up fully rigged and inflated with a frame, oars, PFDs, dry bags and a cooler, so you can load up and launch.

Add the gear Idaho rivers require, like a firepan and a river toilet, plus kayaks, wetsuits, splash gear and camp extras. Pick up at the shop for free, or have us drop your boats at the put-in and grab them at the takeout.

Vehicle Shuttles

Float the river and let us move your car. Whitewater Cowboys runs vehicle shuttles on the Rogue and the Illinois, so your rig is waiting at the takeout when you step off the water.

Book your shuttle ahead of your launch and spend the trip thinking about the river instead of the logistics.

Running & Hiking

The Rogue River Trail runs high above the Wild and Scenic canyon, with the river in view for mile after mile. Hike it with just a daypack while our raft carries your bags downstream, then end each day at a riverside lodge with a hot shower and dinner waiting.

Choose the four-day lodge hike, or the three-day trail run if you like to move fast. In spring and fall, our Hells Canyon hiking trip pairs canyon trails with nights in camp.
