ABOUT US

RUNNING RIVERS FOR OVER 50 YEARS

Orange Torpedo Trips has guided western rivers since 1969, when the first orange rafts floated the Rogue. More than fifty years later we are still a paddle-in-hand outfit, built on one idea: you get more out of the river when you help run it.

Our guides coach technique, read the water, and stay with you every stroke. In a raft, an oar boat, or one of our signature inflatable kayaks, you will learn real skills and finish the trip more confident than you started.

We run day trips and multi-day lodge and camping expeditions on the Rogue, Salmon, Klamath, North Umpqua, and Owyhee across Oregon and Idaho, with meals, gear, and logistics handled so you can focus on the river.

Generations of guides and families who return year after year have built a culture around safety first and fun a close second. Come paddle with us.

Orange Torpedo Trips logo

OTT started

Orange Torpedo Trips begins guiding on Oregon's Rogue River in 1969, with a simple idea: every guest paddles, learns, and takes part in the trip.

Inflatable Kayak invented

The signature orange inflatable kayak, the torpedo we are named for, puts paddlers close to the water and makes whitewater approachable for first-timers and families.

Briggs Rogue River logo

Briggs purchased

Briggs Rogue River Trips joins the family, bringing guided drift-boat fishing on the Wild and Scenic Rogue, a tradition that dates back to 1930.

Whitewater Cowboys logo

WWC purchased

Whitewater Cowboys adds raft and kayak rentals and vehicle shuttles for independent boaters on the Rogue, the Salmon, and Hells Canyon.

Orange Tours started

The three outfitters come together as Orange Tours: one place to plan guided rafting, guided fishing, and do-it-yourself river trips.

Our philosophy
