The season opens

MayRiver Trips

May is opening month. The Rogue season starts, Hells Canyon gets going, and the trail is cool enough for our lodge hikes. It's a great time to beat the summer crowds.

Good to know

Opening Month on the Rogue

May brings high, cold, powerful early-season flows on the Rogue, so expect lively rapids and pack a warm layer. Wetsuits and splash tops are there when you need them. Day trips, lodge trips and camping trips all start running this month.

Shoulder season is also the best time for the Rogue River Trail. Our lodge hike and lodge trail run send your bags down the river by raft while you cover the miles on foot.

In Idaho, Hells Canyon trips begin, and the Owyhee wraps up its spring season in early May.

Book Early

Popular dates and multi-day trips fill first, so lock in your date as soon as you know it.
